Photog: Ryan McGinley Exhibition
The talented young photogrpaher Ryan McGinley is showing through February 10, 2007 at Peter Hay Halpert. At 24 he was the youngest artist to have a solo show in New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art.
The work in the current exhibition is drawn largely from McGinley’s breakout one-man exhibition, also titled The Kids Are Alright, held in 2003 at the Whitney
Museum of American Art. Curated by Sylvia Wolf & organized in cooperation with Peter Hay Halpert Fine Art, the exhibit marked McGinley (now 29) as the youngest artist ever to have a solo show at the Museum. Other photographs in the gallery’s exhibition were first viewed in McGinley’s 2004 show at PS-1 MoMA.
